Freshly Picked: 10 Ways to Use Dried Lavender

October 1, 2023

I’m always sad to say goodbye to the bulk of our perennials as they start settling in for their fall and winter slumbers. However, one new addition to our backyard surprised me the first year in when it seemed to die off mid-July only to come back for round two with an even healthier display in ...

Minimal Autumn Décor: Ways to Welcome Fall into Your Home in September

September 16, 2023

Autumn is far and away my favorite season, and if I must choose, Halloween my favorite holiday! That being said, I’ve always had a soft spot for those few weeks ahead of spooky season that ease us into full-blown fall and signal change is coming. That noticeably chillier air in the mornings, the ...

Why We’re Loving Our Linen Sheets & A $25 Off Code to Brooklinen!

July 30, 2020

I struggled for years with my "final" vision for our bedroom, and it was one of the last rooms in our home to get a makeover (aside from our basement)—nearly four years after moving in! It's been in its current state since early 2019, and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. I kept it ...

Foraging Wild Violets + A Few Ways to Use Them

May 20, 2020

My newsfeeds have been filled with photos of all the foraged goodies my friends and family have been finding while spending time outside lately. I love learning how everyone prepares wild asparagus, morels, dandelions, and more—but one of Nature's beauties I haven't seen a whole lot of chatter ...

7 Tips for Thriving Houseplants

November 14, 2019

As you may be able to tell by the photos I share here and on my Instagram page, I have a thing for houseplants. Jeremy and I once went around and counted, as we had reached a point where he’d grown concerned about us running out of space (dramatic, I know) and we stopped counting at 50. ...

An Autumn-Themed Baby Shower

November 1, 2019

Later this winter, Jeremy and I will become an aunt and uncle for the eighth time, as we welcome a brand new baby boy into the family! We’re so excited for his sister and her growing family, and we celebrated by bringing both sides of baby’s family together for a shower last weekend! ...

Almost every nook and cranny of our home is filled Almost every nook and cranny of our home is filled with sentimental pieces. I’m the daughter, granddaughter, and niece that will gladly take items the family may otherwise get rid of or have tucked away in closets for decades, untouched. The kind of traveler that looks for leaves and shells and rocks to keep in my pockets and carry with me, so I can always hold a piece of where I’ve been. Usually, I have no idea where these things may come to live in my own home, but they always manage to find their perfect places in time.

These shelves alone hold a basket full of stones and shells from around the world, framed high school love letters my grandpa wrote to my grandma in the 1940s, an assortment of found and inherited books, some well more than a century old, and sweet portraits of my great grandparents.

While I strive to avoid clutter, I do love filling every room with as many meaningful pieces as I can. Because while many things are just things, some are so much more. 🤍
